The world’s first digital haute Couture Show took place in June 2020, where the most renown fashion houses presented their FW20/21 Haute couture collections at Semaine de la Haute Couture. The 2020 collections were to be shown virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions. Ralph and Russo wanted to create a more immersive experience for fashion loves than just watching a stream of the fashion show.
They partnered with us to create their show collection digitally for all fans of the brands to see.
There were two main challenges to consider with this collaboration:
1. Create digital garments to match Ralph & Russo’s Creative Director Tamara Ralph vision
2. Sculpt and create a model for the collection to be dressed on
Within the Studio Virtual Space, we produced 14 elegant digital garments along with jewelery. The Studio Spaces comprising of 42 images, and 7 haute dresses were placed in on backplate images across the globe.
For the A/W 2020/2021 haute couture collection we crafted a dedicated brand avatar, “Hauli”, for Ralph & Russo. Named in traditional Swahili after strength and power, Hauli is at once rooted in African origins and a reflection of womankind; of the beautiful and inspiring women bringing courage and positive change to all four corners of the world.
Furthermore, 7 dresses were selected to uniquely be presented against the seven contemporary wonders of the world.
